Un Alambic moderne pour accroître le rendement

« Depuis que j’utilise l’alambic fourni par le PPRR (Programme de promotion des Revenus Ruraux), j’obtiens au moins six litres d’huile essentielle avec 150 kg de feuilles de girofle contre seulement trois litres avec les moyens traditionnels » se félicite Ramanantena Gislain producteur d’huile essentielle d’Anjahambe, du district de Vavatenina, à 142 Km de Toamasina. Une satisfaction partagée par les paysans issus des communes productrices d’Anjahambe. Afin d’améliorer ce secteur, le PPRR a mis à la disposition du CAM (Centre d’accès au marché) d’Anjahambe un nouveau matériel capable de mieux extraire l’huile des feuilles de girofle. En guise de modèle, ce matériel est composé d’un réservoir d’eau relié directement à un récipient posé sur un four chauffé à 130°C si l’ancien est fabriqué uniquement d’une grosse marmite posée sur des braises. Le centre se charge de la vente aux collecteurs à hauteur de 12 000 Ar le litre en fonction des cours sur le marché : « Les producteurs qui utilisent cet alambic moderne ont réussi à doubler leurs rendements », confirme Raleamby Euchère, gérant du CAM d’Anjahambe. Les producteurs habitant loin du CAM d’Anjahambe, soucieux de connaître les mêmes avantages, projettent d’acquérir en 2010 un alambic similaire à celui doté par le programme. En effet, comme il s’agit pour l’heure du seul Alambic moderne de la région, les producteurs d’huile essentielle du coin se bousculent pour bénéficier de son service. En outre, l’huile essentielle produite par cet appareil moderne, doté de nouvelle technique, répond à certaines exigences requises sur le marché tant national qu’international.
